• Risk of Skin Necrosis, Scarring and Deformity: When the subdermal space is overfilled, the blood supply to the skin is compromised. This can lead skin death or firm areas where scar formation has occurred. These problems are not only unsightly but also reduce the flexibility of the penile skin, which limits expansion during erection and causes angulation deformities. Correcting this requires removing the affected tissue and covering it with a skin graft.
